Hawaii Cruise Vacation

Visiting Hawaii on a cruise ship has its advantages. First of all, you can visit several Hawaiian islands in a short period of time. Secondly, it means unpacking and packing your bags only once.

Several major cuise lines visit the Hawaiian islands on their journeys, however, Norwegian Star is the only seven-day round-trip Hawaiian ship to include the four main islands, Oahu, Hawaii, Maui and Kauai. The reason for this is an old U.S. law that requires foreign-registered vessels to visit a foreign country or a distant port if it is allowed to pick up and drop off passengers at a U.S. port.

Norwegian Star is a modern 2,200-passenger cruise ship which sails 7-day round trip Hawaii cruise cacation itineraries from Honolulu. In addition to the stops on the main islands of Hawaii, at also visits a remote port on Fanning Island. The ship departs weekly.

NCL announced that is will be adding the brand-new Pride of America to its Hawaii fleet on July 23, 2005.

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line offers eleven and 12-day Hawaii cruise vacations. The 10-night Hawaii cruise vacation on the Legend Of The Seas departs from Ensenada, Mexico. The ship stops on Hawaii, Maui, Kauai, and Oahu, with a disembarkment in Honolulu. The 11-day cruise, on the other hand, departs from Honolulu and disembarks in Vancouver, British Columbia.

More Romantic Things to Do in San Francisco

Alamo Square: This is the photo you always see of the colorful Victorian row houses, with the city peeking out behind. Put yourself in the picture, and get someone (or the camera's self-timer) to snap this great souvenir of your romantic getaway in San Francisco.

Take a Walk Down Lombard Street: "The World's Crookedest Street"! Don't miss the chance to drive (and walk) this crazy, curvy lane between Hyde St. and Leavenworth St. It's an impossibly bent-out-of-shape residential lane that's also of the steepest in the world. One of the fun things to do in San Francisco!

Go San Francisco Card - over 45 Frisco attractions for 1 low price, including Napa wine tours & tasting, bike rentals, whale watching, and a romantic cable car ride.

Some More Great Streets to Explore: Filmore Street for local shops and eateries, the colorful Latino neighborhood on Mission Street (between 16th and 24 St), and the shopper's paradise around Union Square.

Go for a Nightcap in the Lounge at the Fairmont Hotel The Crown Room at this luxury Nob Hill hotel is a choice spot for a late night glass of wine with a splendid 23rd-floor view of San Francisco's twinkling lights.

Ride a Cable Car: A chance to hang on to the poles as it clatters down the streets (this will put you right back into every Streets of San Francisco episode or Rice-a-Roni commercial you ever saw!). The best place to catch a ride one of San Francisco's cable cars is along Powell Street on the west side of Union Square.
